Waxing Course

Courses are subject to sufficient student numbers. Insufficient numbers will result in cancellation (10 days prior) and students will be notified by phone and email.

This course forms part of the Certificate III in Beauty Services Course.
The Waxing short course covers the theory and practice of waxing with both strip and hot wax, including the application of and removal of both waxes on the body. After completion of this course the student should be able to apply and remove wax correctly in areas of the body taught on the day. Students will need to practise at home in order to increase their speed.
The Course Covers:
- Workplace health and safetys
- Skin biology and skin analysis
- Cleansing the skin
- Material safety data sheets for products used
- Application of hot wax on eyebrows, bikini, lip, chin and underarms
- Application of strip wax on legs and arms
- Removal of both waxes
- Hair structure and function theory
- Application of eyebrow wax
- Removal of eyebrow wax
Pre-Requisites and Course Requirements:
- All materials are provided. Please bring your own model for practical work - you will be advised of dates required in class.
- There are no prerequisites for this course.
- Students will need to do study at home in order successfully complete this course.
Students will be required to source outside models throughout the duration of the course - models may be needed for consecutive weeks on occasion
Course Duration:
11 weeks - 6 hrs each week running on Saturdays from 9am - 3:30pm

Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Statement of Attainment for the above units of competency which come from the Certificate III in Beauty Services qualification.
Students are highly recommended to purchase their own waxing kits to allow you to practise and perfect your techniques and speed.
Course Fees
$1,495.00. A $200.00 minimum non-refundable deposit is required to enrol and secure a position in the course. The balance of the course fees is due on the course commencement date. (A 4 week direct-debit payment plan with integraPAY is available, information will be sent to students with their confirmation of enrolment).
